Yes it is. Too quiet for some. There are no apartments in Castaways but a few expensive holiday rental homes. The only noise you may hear is late Friday nights when a few hoons meet at the beach car park to drink and drive up and down the main highway. Other than that Castaways is a quiet relaxed and gentle suburb that only attracts older people as its too expensive for young families with children. Be prepared for some windy days if you are buying a sweeping ocean view. Are you buying Sue and John's house, second house from the stairs? Thats a very good buy. They have a poodle called Gigi...The beach is only busy during the peak holiday season. After the tourists have gone, the locals come out to enjoy the beach. Hope to meet you there one day. Frank
