When we visited it in 2005, it was already being billed as a "ghost town"... and there were a number of lawsuits going on between the owner and the town of Ketchikan. I think the owner finally had to MOVE it! At any rate, they still offer boat tours of the place, and (to the best of my knowledge) it's still unoccupied for safety reasons. You can google "loggerville" if you're interested. "Lighthouse Excursions" was (is?) the owner, and they run the tours as well.
We can appreciate our forefathers efforts and historical glory in Oberlin's foundation. This is a memorial to the blood and life spilled by brave men and woman to establish a city.
This was a pretty impressive museum... Well worth the trip, if you've got an interest in photography. ALL the folks we spoke with were VERY knowledgeable.

this picture is of the Prince Rupert court house, not City Hall.
Panaramio asks that markers be placed at the point from which the picture was TAKEN, not the position of the object. The marker is correct.

Google Earth wouldn't accept the whole "sequence" of shots for this breech, but you can see them by clicking here.

Nice picture... I only saw the park from a small tour boat. Hope to get ashore next time.
Ah, I was asked about the albino squirrels after I returned from the reunion, but I knew nothing about them! Thanks for posting this.
Thank you. I hope she enjoys them. This last trip would have been a classicist's dream!
