On the "windmill blade" you passed; if it was only 30 ft then it was a small one. These are enormous and take a double bottom flatbed trailer to haul. Any I have see, on the highway, have required police escort for either the blades or the stands, they are that big.
Correction, the aircraft is an AVRO CF-100 Mk-IV, rather than Mk-V.
North Bay base is still NORAD command centre. The intallation was underground and was moved above ground summer 2007.
