Hi There -
The plant is a White Bird of Paradise tree - Strelitzia nicolai, in front of the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.
And how do I know? :D I was the landscape architect for the project!
You're welcome Piotr, its a great photo...serene.
do you live in Ann Arbor?
Have a look at http://www.panoramio.com/photo/18468715
I lived here at the age of 11, back in 1960. You can see the house number 1740, but all in my family have completely forgotten the name of the street. Do you have any idea where it is located? Thanks a lot.

This is much more interesting than just an abandoned hut! It is the old Engine house for Astor's private railway which ran from here (where it met, but did not physicall connect to, the Bermuda Railway) to Viscount Astor's mansion at Ferry Reach, just over a mile away on the other side of the island. The shed contains (2008) the remais of a tiny turntable and a few feet of very narrow-gauge track.
Thank you Angel.
It is a sunrise actually..
