The grocery has closed. There for some years,the rerouting of Highway 67 killed the traffic driving by.

This one-room cottage, I wish I knew its story. I am sure that at one time, someone or maybe a family called it home. It sits beside a winding rural road by itself.
Massive tree! I recall Jerry Clower speaking of the large Sweetgum trees in Amite County. He references it in one of his Coon Huntin' stories.
