Frank Meyer zu Heringdorf
I'm not a professional photographer, but a researcher in the field of solid state physics at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany. My research focuses on the combination of electron microscopy and lasers. As such, I love both images and optics, and while I pursue photography simply as a hobby, I still attempt to master the techniques involved and strive to compose interesting photographs. I use a Canon 7D for regular photography and supplement this camera with a Canon D30 (the first ever Canon SLR) that - after 10 years of service as a regular digital camera - I modified for IR photography.
