One day I hope to go back to Salinas, in March, so that I can be there during the town fair. Is the fair always held on the same dates? Does the fair or festival have a name? I seem to remember my mother telling me about it when I was a little girl.
I found some photos on Panoramio and flickr of festivities on September 16th, and photos of 'Danza Chichimeca'.
I think that my mother and her family did go on boat rides. Unfortunately, I cannot ask her because she has passed away.
