Hello again Peter, I have very happy memories swimming in this pond as a youngster. As a boy I used to work on Highfield Farm close to where you took the photo. I have looked at most of your photos, I am surprised at how many same places I have photographed. Your photos are very interesting. I work close to Darcy Lever and walk near there most days including today. I particularly liked your photos of Liverpool Castle. Cheers, Lewis
I was in this exact location 9 days ago. there is only a small pond left in the far left near the cliffs. The land bar located under the trees right of center has extended almost to the bridge where the photo was taken. on the far right of the water there is now a fast stream feeding the lake. The water level is now 15-20 feet lower.

I used to live in Denvale Avenue which was just of Union Road. My dad sent me to the corner shop on Union Road on the corner of Yates st owned by the Slaters family
