Hi Pete, I was out walking on the coastal path near Hartland Quay recently, when an adder hissed loudly to warn me of its presence. it then moved rapidly away from me. They are docile, non agressive creatures that will only bite humans if provoked, or accidently trodden on! Great photo! Mark
