these stone steps run up the side of high bulough reservoir ,they now end half way up the slope ,there used to be an old iron ladder fixed to the wall at the top to allow access down & up before the access nature path was put in.how do i know i worked on building the nature pathway & associated bridges etc 20 years ago.
i have walked rivington for years & only glimpsed deer in the past a lucky day at the right time & i got a few photos ,sorry about the quality ,i will be posting more now i have found a vantage point .
roundloaf hill ,unexcavated neolithic burial mound ,a hard trudge over very wet moorland .nowadays we would not know where to start building one of these in this position ,progress
