Rock was quarried here for the nearby causeway. This hill is taller than it appears here, perhaps 60' tall. A path goes up the right side to views of Caterpillar Hill, Eggemoggin reach, the bridge and causeway .

Round Barn campsite is on the cove just right of center. That tiny island actually has a campsite on it. Users wade (thigh to waist deep) or paddle over.
