Paolo Grassi's conversations

The massive mountain with the rock spire on left is actually Varahar Shikar or Fang called 7,647 m high subsidiary part of the main summit Annapurna I. From that main summit is seen only the top as a short snow dome in the upper center of the massif.

It's cool! Famous view of the incredibly beautiful "Fish-Tail" with its incomparable wild, pyramidal shape... like

That's the 7,219 m high "Annapurna Dakshin/South"! Annapurna I lies behind that and thus is not seen from this viewpoint!

Excellent view of Hiunchuli! The jagged saddle-ridge to left which connects it with Annapurna South is extremely high and sheer towering over the deep side valley of Modi Khola, some six-thousand meters a.s.l. Like

Thanks, Romesh Bhattacharji, for your visit and comment. Greetings.
