Beau-ti-ful! You are such a blessed photographer, Craig Gaebel!
That was when you caught the sun right before it could escape...
So that is the place where you have your secret lunch? Oh!
It is a very beautiful place for a marmalade roll... I have not had that for decades, I think... and a cup of black coffee, please.
I am sure people appreciate these pictures very much when they see them... I do!
This was my first-ever interaction with Saguaro Cactus and other plants of the Sonoran Desert.
I've nominated it in the "hope" category because of the thorny plant in the foreground. I found out later from a new friend, that it actually isn't dead but is just waiting for rare rain to blossom and put on several years-worth of growth in just a few days.
BTW, I would appreciate it if someone could comment back with the name of this prickly hopeful wonder.
A passing cloud provides soft-box light to a glorious Maritime Autumn scene. It's as if everything is singing out-loud.
An interesting bit of visual distraction after a very exasperating day at the unionized Bayonne Auto Terminal just to drop off ONE item!
The blaze of autumn against the muted colours of the Tioga valley at sunrise are what captured my attention in this shot. Everything just says "peaceful".
A beam from the setting sun illuminates the main feature of this scrub desert landscape. Namely, the cactus. A wonderful show for my first (but hopefully not last) visit to this wonderful area.
(But be warned that wandering around, enjoying the area and taking pictures are deemed "suspicious activity" by both Laredo police and roaming border guards! There's no drugs; no guns; no illegal aliens. What IS that person UP to??)
I like it, Craig. Good shoot.
