No worries. And I totally agree that things here are tremendously different from 2004!
By the way, I have found a great online resource for anyone interested in the near history of this area: West Roseville Specific Plan Environmental Impact Report (from 2004 too!), chapter 4. It's available in pieces from:
Section 4.8 (in BlobID=11266, a 47MB piece) has some history of the area, and section 4.13 (11253, 18MB) has old photgraphs.
Also, Yahoo!Maps has some old aerial photography at the highest zoom level (lower zoom levels have newer images) - the old turkey farm at Fiddyment and Blue Oaks is still visible there.
Thanks for the info...I grew up in Sandy Springs, and I shot this from the MARTA when I came back to visit. Reminded me of an abandoned FM or swap meet I would see in the midwest. Appreciate your insight!
Yeah, I thought it was quite original myself. It's almost in the same vein as "reverse graffiti"; no property "damage" (even though Krog street is pretty much an accepted free-for-all), plus a great homage to the South's #1 wild vine! More pics to come within the week!
