Bruce MacIver's conversations

Sarah O ~ The yellow flowers of the rape are long gone now Sarah for which I'm pleased as the pollen does not agree with me, but I agree that it makes a marvelous sight in the late Spring. The tractor tracks are necessary to tend the crop as it gets sprayed against pests now and then. I'm very fond of the contours of this particular filed, full of lovely curves. Thanks for your generous YSL dear Sarah and best wishes to Mr O and a hug for you ~ nick

Sarah O Hi di hi dear QofC These feeders are my preferred design that seem more robust than some of the cheaper options. We have five of them here in our garden in Chalfont St Peter three in the front and two in the back. In Dunstable at work we have another four. All of them are filled with just Sun Flower seeds, which I buy in bulk.

We actually had five parakeets on this one feeder stand the other day, but by the time I'd grabbed a camera they had flown off.

Hoe are you and Mr O. I expect that you are used to hot weather. Much as I love the sun I dislike heat much over 25 degrees C. The humidity you describe sounds even more unattractive. I would need to be permanently attached to a tub of ice-cream.

We have high winds at the moment coming from the west, so no parakeet is going to be flying your way anytime soon.

Hugs and best wishes to you ~ nick
