This is a great photograph. It looks like a Norman Rockwell painting in many respects.
I distinctly remember this summit having gone to Philmont as a Boy Scout in 1976 and 1978. I was in good shape, but the oxygen at 12,000 feet is starting to get sparce. Get to know the signs of oxygen deprivation before you go. I wish all Scouts had the opportunity to go to Philmont, climb this mountain and enjoy the memories that come from this wonderful place and the people you share it with.
Holy Jeeze! I saw your name and I said...I think that was one of my crews...and holy heck...there you guys are! Wow, that was either '99 or 2K, I have to check my journal.
