Sorry... this is the only photo of this particual area of the beach. Was it destroy when they had that hurricane hit a few years back? I know there was a lot of damage in this area.

Oak Island Lighthouse allows you to climb to the top for free. All you need is an advanced reservation two weeks prior.

This is a fully functional lighthouse... one of the very few that will allow you to climb 163 feet above sea level with an incredible view of the Atlantic Ocean and Bald Head Island, where yet awaits another lighthouse from 1817 (Old Baldy) for you to explore.

This photo was shot from on top of the Oak Island Lighthouse where private tours to climb to the top are allow with a 2 week advance reservation. There is no charge to climb to the top.

Музей истории Мотовилихинского завода — очень интересная достопримечательность города.

Музей расположен на улице 1905 года, недалеко от самого Мотовилихинского завода, и если вы пытаетесь найти этот музей методом расспросов, лучше спрашивать, как пройти "на Пушки".

Внутренняя экспозиция музея (открыта только в будни) достаточно стандартна, наибольший интерес представляет двор перед музеем, где выставлены все образцы продукции Мотовилихинского завода.

Среди них: пермская Царь-пушка XVIII века (такие использовались в береговой артиллерии), многочисленные минометы и орудия Первой и Второй Мировых войн, легендарная "Катюша" и не менее легендарные "Град" и "Ураган", а также комплексы ПВО, среди которых есть даже С-300.

Со всех окрестных кварталов видны две межконтинентальные баллистические ракеты, стоящие здесь же.

В целом в Мотовилихе собрана крупнейшая в России экспозиция артиллерии, и Мотовилиху можно поставить в один ряд с такими известными военными музеями, как бронетанковый музей в Кубинке, авиационный музей в Монино или музей стрелкового оружия в Туле.
