My wife Cathy and I camped here in the late 70s,and we loved this site so much we returned for a 2nd visit in '94. I forgot the propane stove 15 miles back in the van. There were open fire restrictions, but hunger forced us to build a small campfire to cook dinner, which I carefully doused when we had the burgers cooked. This was apparently reported to the Ranger station, which led to a late night stealthy visit from a Park Ranger. He never said a word, just stirred the ashes, and flicked the light across my sleeping face, my very alarmed and wide awake wife stiffeled a scream, and held her breath until our visitor paddled away. We assume it was a Ranger, since the local Black Bears don't typically carry flashlights

This is not Queens University, it is Kingston City Hall. It is close to Queens, but it is not part of Queens.
