It certainly does look like a knob. Can't find much info on this outcrop, probably because it is just one of many in the area :)
In the hotel was damaged by flood waters in 1986, and was physically moved by a team of volunteers to the current location over one long weekend in 1987.

A bit unusual these days to see the post offices still being used - or to see a public phone box for that matter. Dungog is a nice country town, I will be back again to check more of the old buildings :)
