A big thanks for all your comments*Regards Ebi
Thank you very much, James.
The smoke stack is no longer there. It was felled on the 20th February 2014. The 200-metre-high chimney, built from about 7,000 tonnes of concrete, bricks and steel, was brought down in a controlled explosion about 11.15am (AEDT). Nearly 1,000 explosives charges were placed around the stack and a 300-metre exclusion zone was put in place for safety reasons before the sequenced detonation. The structure had served not just as a chimney but also a marine navigation tool and tourist attraction since its construction in 1965.
Thanks for the comment Ebi. Bundeena is a great spot and I will be back again for more photos :)
Delicious sunrise Ebi. I can almost sense the tiny ripples of the water beings! Like again, well done.
Cheers from the UK, Herb
