Thanks. Worse for these birds than people or the tides are stoats. The stoats are very clever - attacking the nests at night, distracting the birds and rolling the eggs a little way out of the nest, hoping that they will die and be abandoned. We stayed in our boat close by, and several nights could hear the commotion as stoats attacked the nests.
Thank you - I looked at yours - beautiful. Here they are from big tides (up to 5 metre), the sand really is golden coloured.
And this. It has been a pleasure browsing your photos again.
This area is very beautiful with golden sands and clear water - a photographer's paradise.
What a wonderful time you have had at Bark Bay Hut. The sand pictures are artistically stunning and unusual. I love them.
Thanks Nawitka - hope your New Year has been good. It's a sweltering hot summer evening here. I wish I was still away on holiday.
Merry Christmas and a great and happy new year! Greetings, Claudia.
Wow - - some truly amazing images - do you ever sell them? As a Kiwi living overseas they remind me of what I miss so much -
