Nice pics. We see the Space Command Center on movies, an think that it's not true, or it just happens in the movie. But when you go, visit, and see it, it's pretty amazing! You feel like you are controlling a space mission. It's worth visiting it. I've placed some pics over: http://www.viaggee.com/html/city/cit_phogst.php?CitCode=2447070&StaCode=3971&CouCode=225 Check it out. cheers.

Located in Rocket Park at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas

Now in ruins, Pyote Army Air Base was nicknamed Rattlesnake Bomber Base because of the prevalence of rattlesnake nests encountered during its construction. WWII bomber pilots were trained her. For a while after the war the Enola Gay, the bomber that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, was hangered here.

Originally named Pyote Army Air Field, it later became Pyote Air Force Station, AKA "Rattlesnake Bomber Base."

Many WWII bomber pilots were trained here. This historical marker commemorates 381st Bomb Group, the first bomber group trained here.
