I see now. The same photo appears twice by a link. I know you can't control this, but Google should prohibit this proliferation of duplicates. GE is becoming so cluttered with similar pictures it's a problem and to double up by duplicating the same pictures only makes this worse.
About one and a half miles East-North-East of here is Texas' Polunsky Unit (http://www.tdcj.state.tx.us/stat/unitdirectory/tl.htm). It's a supermax prison, the location of death row where all inmates are housed awaiting execution. Executions are not conducted here, they're performed in the "walls" unit in Huntsville, Texas. Huntsville is about 40 miles from here.
When I was a child, our farm was about two miles East-North-East of here. It was roughly across the road from where the prison is today and we leased the land the prison is on to grow cotton. Four families lived on our farm and worked about 400 acres of cotton.
This is near the Goose Creek oil field, one of Texas most famous oil fields and where the first offshore drilling for oil in Texas occurred. Goose Creek is now part of Baytown, Texas where ExxonMobil has the largest oil refinery in the United States.
You can read about the Goose Creek oil field here http://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/online/articles/GG/dog1.html
I'm not clear why this is a Panorama?
