Yes. Manaus got strong european influence in its architecture during the late 1800s, when it was an important exporter port of tropical products. Today, it is an industrial city (motorcicles, TVs and other eletronical devices) and the political and commercial core of of the Amazon state.

Manaus is als stad zeker een bezoek waard. Er is echter ook een arme kant. Wel zou ik zo weer terug gaan naar deze stad waar de bewoners een onuitwisbare indruk hebben achtergelaten. Zoveel vrolijkheid en hartelijkheid.
