I saw a cartoon about carhenge in a old Trains magazine, but I could not believe it exist in fact. The same drawing also shows a trainhenge. Is it possible?
This is a Joshua Tree. A yucca is much shorter and usually does not branch. There was a beautiful Joshua tree on the east side of the highway north of Goldfield that when the new highway went in, the people forced the highway to realign so it would not take out that Joshua. This was in the late 1950's or early 1960's. I can't identify that exact tree anymore as the others have all grown up so much bigger in the meantime.
If you go to www.flickr.com/photos/rosenow_photography, and click on sets, check out the Mt. St. Helens Visit May 18, 2009 set. In it, are photos of the A-frame as it exists now. The one I uploaded (check my profile here) is also available via Flickr, and it was taken in 2000 via my 35mm SLR.
Portions of that A-frame apparently have caved in on the inside.
