In Iraq, I was employed in years from 1983 to 1985 as Supervisor on building Karkh Water Treatment Plant near Baghdad.
I am sorry but I don't have other pictures of salt or salinity in Iraq. This one I shot because salt was similar to the snow on fields in the Europe.

I was there in 1985 and have seen them too. Then they collect the fish, and pray. Fascinating picture. You thought you lived hundreds of years back in the biblical times. We had good times in Tharthar on Fridays and Thursday sleep overs! Thanks for the memories.
