What a great shot - congratulations! Going there again in a couple of weeks

Thank you Leland. The story behind this picture is that my Wife Janice and me hiked up from the Pine Springs trail head and set up our tent site at the Guadalupe Peak trail campground. I had intended to shoot some long exposure star trails from that location that night, but it turned cloudy on me. I didn't sleep good that night. (aches, pains) Once it started getting light, the colors were incredible and it was neat to see that the clouds had settled below us. The clouds were drifting by and following the contours of the lower ridge lines much like water flowing over rocks in a stream. I woke Janice up but she's not a morning person, she stuck her head out of the tent and was wowed by the colors, then went back to sleep.
