I am a violinist and violin teacher by profession, but it seems I've had a camera in hand most of my life. I recently found a box of photos I took almost 50 years ago, mostly very uninteresting shots of my sister and my dog.
In a photograph, I look for the same things I do in music: contrast, rhythm, harmony, beautiful colors, and interesting lines. I've been very fortunate to be able to travel a bit. My family don't understand why I spend most of a trip behind the camera, but I relive my travels daily as my shots come up randomly on the computer, while they have only vague memories.
