A couple of notes:

1) "schmoozing" the guards at this location MAY work, but please notice that they are armed, and at least in my situation they approached my vehicle with their hand ON their gun.

2) This building was never a train station. The original Portland train station burned down, and Union Station was built to replace it.

3) This building was built BY Gas Co, and never had any other purpose than being the company headquarters of Gas Co (now Northwest Natural Gas). It was abandoned when the headquarters were moved, and has not been used since then due to massive pollution of the surrounding land.

Pawel, Thanks again for you kind comments. I love the potential that each day brings for a good photograph, and I see you must feel the same.

Have you ever seen the movie city slickers? If this were a calf, I'd name it Norman!

If this isn't talent, I don't know what is! Beautiful! And you got to capture the moment!

Pfield, If you would like to chat about it, i have plenty to share about that area. MANY MANY MANY PICTURES, my email is Pamela143n@yahoo.com. But I honestly hate it when someone knows so much about me, and I know nothing of them. You have no photo's on here yourself. Write me, tell me a bit about yourself, and why are you so interested in the landing strip?
