nzer's conversations

In 'The English House (2008)' by Clive Aslet, the first chapter entitled 'An Ordinary London Terraced House' mulls over the history of his own property close to this location, and also that of the whole of Tachford Street in Pimlico.

I think, nzer, that the area around Victoria Square will look a heck of a lot different, when we finally get back inside there....

Just going around the cordoned off area, you can see so many buildings that are already 'removed' or have that much damage, that the chances are, they will be demolished sooner or later.

All the Best, Peter, ChCh....

My most sincere condolences... I'll have a prayer for your friend. Michael

Hi nzer, That looks a bit wet... normal for much of the winter through there. The Stone Monument deserves a mention - it has the names of those who found the Pass (helped by the Moari guides). Somewhere I have a shot of that plaque, but lord knows where it is now... Cheers, Peter, ChCh.

Thanks! I lived at #19 from 1980 - 1992, now live in London. I went back to Christchurch last year for a visit and took the pic.
