During my 2003 tour of Germany, I was so happy to find the train station emblazoned with my surname: KIESOW! My great-grandfather emigrated out of Prussia in the 1800s. Greetings to all in the municipalities of Klein Kiesow and Gross Kiesow!

I met Pastor Schorlemmer in September 2003 at this beautiful church in Gross Kiesow. His wife and family treated me to a lovely evening meal at their parsonage. I had traveled to Germany to visit my 'namesake' town; Pastor introduced me around town as "Mr. Kiesow," which is my name. My great-grandfather emigrated out of Prussia in the 1800s.
