Good to see a real picture of the new Hörnlihütte although this picture has a somewhat strange format and taken last year in October. Unfortunately I did not manage to get up last year in September due to ice on the trail for which I was not prepared. I will make a new try next year to be able to take my own pictures.

Many thanks for your kind appreciation of Matterhorn summit. In fact I didnt think about black and white when shooting it but I made a mistake with my camera colour balance and I had to turn it into black and white to get that lucky result.
What an achievment to climb this geat mountain and shooting this lovely picture in black and white in perfect backlight with Monte Rosa just above the summit and Findeln, I guess, in the valley. To me, the main features in the picture are the cross, commemorating the ones who did not make it, your friend and the summit. I know that you made it down as well, as I read a comment of yours on the picture taken from the air in the in the morning at sun rise.
