This is John the Gas. He is looking very sheepish as he has just realised I am going to put his photo online and comment on it; all after he has had several jokes at my expense throughout the day. I could have a battle of wits with him but I don't attack defenceless men. John is an intriguing character. He is ALWAYS late in the morning and then spends the rest of the drive to the walk: 'back seat driving'; with such erudite comments as 'Burn the buggers off' or 'Go on you old get' and other gems. His natural habitat is either the 'Green Dragon' and/or 'The Travellers'. Rumour has it that he is helping to keep the Dragon open with his copious consumption of alcohol. i know this to be false - he doesn't need any help - he keeps it going all on his own.
