Hi Hans, I usually trek the Circuit anti clockwise. The road goes as far as Besisahar still, the trek starts there for me. It has been like this for years now thankfully. Starting at Besisahar [trekking anticlockwise], I think, is a better trek because after The Pass it is steady decent to Muktinath. As far as I know cars and trucks running down the Manang Valley is not the case although there is a road through there in parts. Have a good trek mate.
