I don't speak/understand french, but thanks a lot for your comment. You're right, when I was in Gran Comora I felt so far away from home, but in every moment I felt safe and free to go wherever I wanted.. also very late at night...

Actually, you're right. It's not a volcano, it's a "dead" volcano, and old crater. There are two twin craters nearby the city of Iconí, you can climb that and descend the crater. I was in the northern one, and it's interesting because local people are using the internal crater for agriculture, even if it's not easily accessible.
Thanks. I don't live in Comoros. I was just there on a trip, because a friend of mine working there for a while, and went to see her. I also had the impression of a great difference from where I live and I'm from..
