Good shot, maryeo. What did you use to stitch the panorama? Looks like there's a little problem with the seam.

I can't answer about his camera, but I can tell you the photo was processed using HDR (High Dynamic Range), a technique that involves shooting the same scene at different exposure values, then combining them in such a way as to get more details than would be available in a standard photo. The colors, brightness and contrast come from another process called tone-mapping. Software and tutorials are available to help you create your own HDR shots.
