Actually I think they are for net drying not fish drying - my mistake. I don't know how old they are, but these are maybe older models. I have only been living in Norway for about 3-4 years, and so I am not knowledgeable.

Thanks Jotka. Actually this photo was selected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Norway for exhibition in the UN building in New York. The photo is a stitch photo made up of several photos in line.It was taken in 2001.

For us visitors who come here for a limited period, this is a great opportunity to see how little infrastructure you can do with in a large city. But being a permanent citizen here is quite another thing.
