Note, the long logs on the beach are in fact boats made from about 5 long and very solid logs, tied together and with an outboard motor attached to the back. They lie so low in the water that they are normally washed by waves most of the time.

Thanks Henry! Yes, there really was nothing to it to take this photo, it is just an everyday scene along this coastline. It bet you, if you took the plane to Bodø a little further north of here, asked around there, they would find you some very interesting stop-overs on your way down the coast here. Going on the local speed boat is just a wonderful, calming, beautiful experience. And every half-hour there is a little port to visit, with local activity- mostly connected to fishing or aquaculture but also to small farming. I grew another 1000 km further north. Ivar

Good photo!And good timing.

Hei Odd Helge, Det er bra noen er virkelig lokalkjente.Tusen takk for info. Hilsen Ivar Lein-Mathisen

Hei Hans Jørgen. Takk for fin respons!

Hello Ivar,

Do you perhaps have this image available in a high(er) resolution? I would like to use it in a photomontage to enter in an architecture competition for a building on that site. So it is for non-commercial use, unless of course we would be so lucky to win the competition. I will send you the resulting photoshop picture at least! Thank you for your reply.

kind regards, Henk

As tourists we spend most of our time in cities and/or congested tourist areas. Now, once in a while it is good for our sanity to try to see and understand how real people really live and make a living. India in general is an absolutely outstanding world to see and hopefully also to learn about life. I was grateful for the gentle people I met there, and a bit sad that I cannot show them as they are, with their faces. Ivar.
