As tourists we spend most of our time in cities and/or congested tourist areas. Now, once in a while it is good for our sanity to try to see and understand how real people really live and make a living. India in general is an absolutely outstanding world to see and hopefully also to learn about life. I was grateful for the gentle people I met there, and a bit sad that I cannot show them as they are, with their faces. Ivar.
fascinating world! thank you for sharing!
Genialt bilde, Frank.
Good shot!

On the easternmost edge of Norway, at about 31 degrees east, Vardø is east of Istanbul in Turkey and a little west of Alexandria in Egypt. This again means that this is where the sun rises the earliest in Norway. With the exeption, of course, that it does not rise at all during about 2 months of deep winter darkness.Vardø is situated about 300 km (200 miles) north of the Arctic circle.
Great contact. My family's great, great, great grandmother walked from here to Vadsø in Norway, about 600 km. Her name was Maria Kaisa Keranen, and for the church protocols she said that she had grown up at this Keranen farm. Wonderful story! Contact me on email: firstname.lastname@example.org
