After reading some additional comments, I find it safe to say that it will never be livable in the Northern half of the atoll. The Marshallese People have been living in Hawaii and Arkansas in encampments on public lands. It is creating a drain on Hawaii's education and homeless situation. Those honorable people that did nothing wrong are still suffering to this day. It has been told that they are all millionaires from the U.S. paying them. That is not true. They have received some income, but not anything that comes out in reports. They are a poor population and race. The U.S. promised them everything, and still left their islands the way they did. If you look at a Peace Sign, you will see that the line that runs straight up and down is based on a signalman's flag, meaning Nuclear. The two lines that are angled, represent a signalman's flags at that same position. That means disarmament. So, the Peace Sign Stands for Nuclear Disarmament. Not peace in the conventional way. Most do not know how the peace sign came about. Now you know!
