I clearly stated that it was my personal impression (as an occasional visitor). Impressions should not be accorded more value than what they are : impressions. I used my "impression" just to make my compliment to davide a bit stronger. I visited a lot of cities troughout Europe and I agree that it takes some time to discover what they are really like. A visit of 2 times one day certainally does NOT make me an authority on Soton... On the other hand, your (chauvinist?) reaction is well over the top. There are three sites - Gent, Oostende and Brugge, I count to my favorite sites, where I wished come back again in future. Last time I been there, it was in last year September, but, due annoying rainy weather, I not included Gent town in my repeated visit. See also my first portfolio tags where I included my first this region photos sessions.

I will come back online again tomorrow and will edit titles and map locations according Your recommendations.

Glad to be of assistance I'm not living there, but I have to go there every few months for office-meetings. I always take advantage of the occasion to go on foot from the railway station to the office (north of the center) and discover again and again nice places of this city. Greetings Jefantenne
