I worked in this area(Marmul)comming to repair the roads down from escapement after localised rain washed out the raised and elevated road section c1992-had to get down to wadi floor to examine the damage by traversing the old Bedu camel route,a very hairy experience using a 6mtr long Ford twincab pickup especially when the power steering failed part way down-had to have the contractor foreman to help pull the steering wheel to negotiate around the narrow track with drops of some 8/10 mtrs on one sidem
