Hello, I believe the old tower has since been demolished because I don't remember seeing it this year. The new tower seen here was finished in time for the 2008 show and is significantly taller than the old one.

Come back and visit us again sometime!!

One of the most beautiful places in the whole wide world. The skyline changes everyday and you will see pictures like these every morning. It feels like one is next to heaven!

"Here I want to build my splendit temple as an oracle to humankind, who will ever come in crowds bringing pure hecatombs, those who live in Peloponnese and those who live in Europe and the islanders wishing to consult me; and I will give unerring counsel to them all and issue oracles in my splendit temple." So saying, Phoibos Apollo laid out the foundations in broad and very long unbroken lines.' From Homeric Hymns. Hymn to Apollo.

"Plutarch wrote this essay at Delphi, addressing it to Klea, a high-priestess who was initiated into the Osiriac Mysteries." 'When, therefore, oh Klea, thou hearest the myth-saying of the Egyptians concerning the Gods-wandering and dismembering, and many such passions-thou shouldst remember what has been said above, and think none of these things spoken as they [really] are in both state and action.' From Plutarch's The Mysteries of Osisis and Isis. Translated by Mead, G.R.S.
