Dare Arts Council is a gallery run by the county to support local artists. They have a wide selection of art by local artist including wall art, jewelry, pottery etc.
In fact, Manteo has quite a few galleries and gift shops that contain the work of local artists...including jewelry I made!
Well, it doesn't look that scary in this photo, but we had to "gun it" to get up this hill, then make a quick hairpin turn and hope no one was coming the other directions. The views make it worth it.
We ended our 5 years RV across the US right after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. All the way across the country we saw trailers heading towards Louisana with FEMA signs in the window. Here are two of them.
