I've been at this pub many times and always found the folks super friendly. The story told about this pub is that in the Old days, I mean several hundred years, the bay waters came all the way up to the pub. The sailing ships would arrive in port and send their longboats ashore, and while the crew men waited they would buy Grog through a " hole in the wall" of the pub. Don't know this for a fact, b ut it makes a good "SEA STORY".
