Hi Malcolm,Nice photo of Michaelstone school, I went to this school in the 50s, I remember you and your mother (mrs Head), used to buy snacks from her in the pub entrance (fond memories), used to live in druidstone house my uncle used to own it, you should remember my dad Harold broughton he's 85 now and living next door to me in Ystrad Mynach, sadly my mother passed away in 2007,still call in the pub when we go to the grave.
Regards
Martin Broughton
Thanks for the info, Malcolm...unfortunately I don´t know any place matching better...any tips? Must be around there, approaching LHR coming in from the west.
The new site just appearing to the right of the existing centre buildings will eventually be 17 floors high and will dominate the skyline. Enjoy the clouds while you may!
Hello, Malcolm, we lived in the village opp the Post Office, from 1950 till 59 and Mum worked part time for Mrs Head, as a waitress at the dinners when required, I used to travell with the vicars son Peter Jones Evans to Castleton on our bikes to catch the bus to Bassaleg Grammar school, I later worked for Mr Bernard Pendlebury, as well as Ty Hir Farm, then owned by J Roy Paton and later Donald Kelly

Hi Kay,
I watched your friend working on the new images in the empty shop in High Street. These pictures are those of the new images.
Malcolm
What a great picture.
