I have been involved with photography since 1993 when I was asked to join the now defunct Monochrome Society due to the fact that I had a video camera.\ Up until that point I had no interest in the subject so my friend handed me an Olympus OM 1 camera to try,Gave me a roll of 35mm B&W film and just said give it a go.\ I was surprised that I was getting good results straight away and continued to shoot B&W for a few more years.\ I cannot say I enjoyed the printing side though Having my prints made else where was as easier option for me as I cannot say that I am the most patient of people.\ Due to problems with my printing contact I took my 1st steps with a digital compact camera which was a bit of a problem having been used to an SLR.\ I then bought a Minolta Dimage A1 camera I had better results from that but I still struggled with the camera and the Technology.\ I recently returned to using a DSLR after buying an Olympus E-410 and at last I am now feeling better about my image making again and having spent 8 years looking for a style of digital imaging I like have finally hit upon something that I enjoy doing.
