While Olongapo itself is just another city, the area around Bario Barretto and the old Subic Navy Base are well worth a visit. I haven't come across the Silver Star or Taa Taa.

Unfortunately this part of the hotel grounds is now behind a large concrete wall, blocking all access to the garden and the main street behind it.
