A big square-bottomed bay! I like this view very much, a nice photo! I haven't been to this part of Scotland, but we sailed around Mull and were astonished to find how similar the landscape was to ours at home -- except Scotland has no trees.

We have many bays of this same shape here in BC. You might like to see this one, it has excellent sand-castle building sand. Yours looks sandy too, I think.

Greetings, Fuscia!

Thank you for your visit here and kind words! =)

All of my photographs are shot with a digital camera. I have long since quit using my film camera thanks to the wonderful advancements of digital photography. It's just way too much fun!

Depending on how well the picture is shot, a poster size could very well be absolutely flawless. No, it would not look weird as long as the quality was good. Believe me, digital is the way to go! I would highly recommend getting a good digital camera. You won't be sorry. I personally only use CANON, but I'm sure many of the other cameras are just as good. Just go play around with them and see what you're comfortable with. You're going to wonder why you waited so long.

Let me know what you decide. I'm so excited.

Best regards,

Mary Alice

Hello, used to be a hospital.

Walks and lakes man made by ?? for his American Indian wife who was home sick. Several walks of various distances all on good paths. Not flat but climbs are not steep. Information boards available about the walks and the place.

Walks go on to Inchree Falls

Hi Keith

Many bikies cross this pass. Don't know how it is done on a motorbike but it is strenuous in the car.

Single track, some very sharp hairpin bends. At places there is not enough room for the road on the mountain side so it is held up with a stone wall. So narrow that there are few passing places. In my old car I was in first gear at times, a lot in second and third gear at best.

They say that if it is cold and wet in Applecross, this pass is snowed in.
