A bizarre piece of "Art" for such a pretty town I thought, better placed on a cereal packet. Then I learned that it wa splaced after extensive consultation and not paid for from public funds. And cockerels such as this were taken by the pilgrim fathers from Dorking to America. They provided food and life for the builders of a new empire. So - now I that I know the history, has the statue become more aesthetically pleasing? NO - it's still an abomination! - LN, Brockham.
